Can a helper take care of the elderly or kids?
At Unistarr, we pride ourselves on going beyond the role of a regular maid agency.
Our team of dedicated elderly care helpers, undergoes rigorous training to become fully equipped and knowledgeable to cater to the unique needs and challenges faced by diverse elderly and child clients.
What if I’m matched with a helper that I don’t like?
For transfer helpers, if within 6 months you realise that the helper is not a good fit with your family, simply contact us and we will assist you with finding a replacement helper, without any replacement fees. For helpers coming in from overseas, that period is 12 months. Do note that third party costs still apply.
Should I get a new, transferred or ex-Singapore helper?
That depends on your requirements.
Some people prefer new/fresh helpers without experience as their salaries are lower, and they are easier to train.
Experience on the other hand may be more suitable for very specific requirements. For instance, Hong Kong experienced helpers can usually speak Cantonese, and Taiwan-experienced helpers can usually speak mandarin.
Do you provide helpers from all countries?
We provide helpers from Myanmar, Indonesia, the Philippines, Manipur, and Mizoram.
When can I get a helper in my home?
Transfer helpers already in Singapore: usually 3 to 14 days. From overseas: Myanmar usually 3 to 4 weeks, Indonesian 4 to 8 weeks (3 to 4 at the fastest), Filipino at least 6 to 8 weeks because of embassy processing. We'll give you a precise timeline once you've picked your helper.
